Once upon a time...

Once upon a time there was a little girl that opened her eyes for the first time in a small house somewhere in Tilburg. Eline was born! From her very first cry her parents knew, this little kid is going to be a superstar. She sang along with the greatest hits that were broadcasted on the television and she could dance like Michael Jackson. Unfortunately, her singing skills were not that much appreciated by her surroundings. Years passed by and her passion for the music industry grew as fast as Rapunzels hair. Visiting concerts and festivals was her hobby and at the age of 18 she had a moment of realization. ‘’I should make a job out of my hobby’’. Eline started with the study International Event Management at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUAS) and is now working on pursuing her dream to become a leisure professional.

So, my name is Eline. I am the little girl from the story. As already said, I’m doing the study International Event Management. I hear you asking: ‘’Eline, I thought you wanted to be a superstar, why did you start with this study?’’ Well… it is a funny story. In 2018, I finally finished high school and I had no idea what I really wanted to do in the future. I decided to play it safe and began with a finance study. Let’s just say it wasn’t my thing and took a gap year. In this year I wanted to figure out what I wanted to be ‘when I grow older’. My family asked me a very simple question: ‘’what makes you happy?’’ and my answers to that were ‘events and music’. I always found it very fascinating how everything is arranged before the actual events take place. At this moment I realized: ‘’I want to do a study in the event industry’’.
